Surrendering your Dane

Owner surrenders are always difficult and emotional for the owner and we understand this. There are many reasons for surrendering your Dane. While we would like to know the reason you are surrendering your Dane, it is more important to us that you care enough about it to place it with us. Adoption applications will be thoroughly screened to insure that your Dane will fine the best home available to accommodate its needs.

Each surrendered dog will be temperament tested so that we don’t put any foster/adoptive family in danger. All the Danes we accept go into foster homes where there may be other dogs, cats, and children. If your Dane is aggressive, you must decide what would be best for all concerned and we will be happy to discuss the options with you to help you make an informed decision.
